PURPOSE:To improve the workability by displaying a cursor line to a position corresponding to an object height in a pattern display device and adjusting the height of the gap while matching a prescribed position of a magnified image of the gap to the cursor line. CONSTITUTION:A cursor line generating circuit 13 generates a gate signal corresponding to a cursor line 14 and a gate signal corresponding to other horizontal reference line (height of a face 1a of an upper cylinder 1) not appeared on a pattern display device 12, and a clock signal is counted by a counter circuit 16 between the gate signals. A subtraction circuit 18 operates the height (absolute height of a magnetic head 2a) of the horizontal cursor line 14 to the horizontal reference line displays the result of operation at a display section 19x being the uppermost stage of a display device 19. Then the measured height of the gap 7 of the magnetic head 2a is displayed on the display section 19a by a command from an operating switch 24a corresponding to the magnetic head 2a. Similarly, the height of the magnetic heads 2a-2f is displayed on display sections 19b- 19f and the object height of the magnetic heads 2a-2f is operated so as to minimize the number of the magnetic heads 2a-2f requiring the adjustment. |
