In a device for supporting and separating a plurality of annular discs 2, which are rotationally fixed on a rotor shaft 1 in a hammer rotor, firstly a plurality of hammers 4, which are continuous along the rotor circumference and are fitted at an interval from one another, and secondly rails 6 for supporting and separating the annular discs 2 are detachably fitted in between each pair of the said annular discs 2. The hammers 4 arranged side by side with one another are pivotally mounted on a common bearing shaft 5, parallel to the axis of rotation, which is led through the annular discs 2. The spacing rails 6 are fixed by means of their own or separate fixing rods 8, which are likewise led through the annular discs 2, so that the spacing rails 6 situated between the annular discs 2 will not be released when replacing hammers 4 on a bearing shaft 5. <IMAGE>
