PURPOSE:To greatly increase the life of an air cell by providing an oxygen permeable area made of an organic or inorganic peroxide between the air hole and the positive electrode. CONSTITUTION:Percarbonates and perborates of calcium and alkali metals such as sodium and potassium can be used as an organic or inorganic peroxide used for an oxygen permeable area 10. The oxygen permeable area 10 can be formed anywhere between the air hole and the positive electrode. And, it is recommended to form the oxygen permeable area 10 near the positive electrode. Owing to the above structure, a greater amount of oxygen is discharged as a greater amount of water is evaporated thereby inhibiting drying or deterioration of the electrolyte. Accordingly, it is possible to greatly increase the life of the air cell. |
