The invention relates to a process for making hollow slabs and similar construction elements, preferably by the sliding method, the material being introduced under pressure into a shaping chamber (10) by means of a conveying apparatus (2), which shaping chamber is defined by a shaping base (18), by side parts (11) and by an upper limit (14), and is characterised in that, in order to achieve compaction of the material, the latter is intermittently caused to undergo a reciprocating movement in the direction of flow, and in particular the material is compressed transversely to its direction of flow in the region of its reciprocating movement. In order to achieve this reciprocating movement, at least one shaping part (4, 5, 11, 14) is provided in the apparatus for carrying out the process, possesses a projection or a recess, and is intermittently reciprocally movable in the direction of flow of the material (Figure 1). <IMAGE> |
