<p>PURPOSE:To reduce heat generation at a lead electrode part and to suppress power consumption by forming the width of the lead electrode part narrower than that of a shutter part. CONSTITUTION:A scanning electrode 5 and a signal electrode which are opposed through liquid crystal constitute a fine light shutter Sn. When the width of the lead electrode part 13 is formed narrower than that of the shutter Sn, the heat generation of the electrode part 13 is suppressed at the time of high frequency driving, so that the device is prevented from deterioration due to the temperature rise of the liquid crystal. Since the area of the shutter Sn can be reduced, the power consumption can be reduced.</p> |
