An unlined one-piece synthetic plastic closure cap for a container having an open neck, the cap being formed with a centrally depressed top wall forming a projection for extending into and closing the container neck and a flat surface surrounding the projection for full surface abutment with the end edge of the container neck when the cap is screwed onto the container.
