PURPOSE:To mass-produce resonators of high performance at high yield by using a welded Nb tube, and swelling out the central part to arcuate form by repeating annealing and bulging. CONSTITUTION:For instance, after buffing inner face of a welded Nb tube 1 100mm. in outer diameter, 2mm. in thickness, 600mm. in length, central part of the tube is swelled out to 115mm. in outer diameter by buling. By deforming outer diameter by more than 5%, the structure of 2a part is recrystallized in next annealing, and the structure of the weld zone and raw tube is made uniform. Thus, the next bulging is made easy, and the occurrence of cracks during the work can be suppressed. Thereafter, by repeating intermediate annealing and bulging, a cavity resonator 100mm. in both ends outer diameter, 260mm. in central outer diameter, 450mm. in length and having Q0 value being inverse number of bulge specific surface resistance, in the order of 10<8> is manufactured in high yield. |
