<p>A container (11) for the concrete contains an agitator (12) and an Archimedes screw conveyor (15). Both are driven by chains from an electric motor (20). The concrete is discharged through a pipe (45) which is the stem of a Y into the two branches of which the concrete is pumped alternately. The entries of these two branches are symmetrically placed round the outlet of the Archimedes screw. The pumping is done by two cylinders which are held on a yoke (32). The yoke is oscillated by a pneumatic mechanism so that on the inlet stroke a cylinder is opposite the outlet of the screw and on the discharge stroke it is opposite the inlet of one of the discharge pipes. The pistons are driven pneumatically.</p> |
