PURPOSE:To reduce a leak of oil from a connection surface, by forming into an equal plane the rear end surface of a plug and the surface machined connection surface of an oil pump cover or an oil pump body. CONSTITUTION:In an oil pump housing, comprising an oil pump body and an oil pump cover 54 connected by a surface machined connection surface, the oil pump cover 54 or the oil pump body both opens to a connection surface 54a before it is surface machined and provides a hole B equipping a plug 6 forced to be fitted by pressure into this opening part. The plug 6 is as shown in the drawing forced to be fitted by pressure so as to be in a condition that a rear end 6A protrudes to the hole B or forms an equal plane, and the rear end 6A of the plug 6, being simultaneously machined when the connection surface 54a is surface machined, forms the equal plane to the connection surface. |
