PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of chatter marks caused by the vibration of roll by setting every ratio between roll diameters to a multiple except an integer multiple. CONSTITUTION:A tension leveler is constituted of a work roll 2 used for pressing a strip 1, a material to be straightened, from one side of the strip 1, intermediate rolls 3a, b for holding a reaction acting on the roll 2, backup rolls 4a, b, c for holding the forces acting on the rolls 3a, b, and a pair of deflector rolls 5a, b provided to another side of the strip 1 to hold the strip 1 pressed by the work roll 2. Every ratio between the diameters of rolls used for forming the tension leveler, is prevented from being an integer multiple to prevent the vibration of a certain specific number of revolutions from being emphasized. |
