PURPOSE:To enable a separate fine piece to be prevented from being generated, by constituting the detecting method such that a preliminary decision is easly performed for whether or not the separate finr machining piece is generated further a wire electrode enables its tilt angle to be set to be changed. CONSTITUTION:The method detecting whether or not a separate fine machining piece 22 is generated prior to actual machining is constituted such that when, for instance, an extrusion die is machined, shape of a bearing hole, bearing length (arrow head l in the drawing) in each position of this hole and a tile angle of a backing relief surface, that is, a tilt angle theta of a wire electrode 5 are given. And cutting is performed by calculating the moving information of a machining table on the basis of those above specification. And whether or not the separate fine machining piece is generated, when a backing relief part is machined, can be easily decided if a locus of points P2 and P3 and its moving direction are known even without performing actual machining. In this way, the separate fine piece can be prevented from being generated. |
