PURPOSE:To perform a test without partially removing a mortar lining, by forming a peelable film onto the mortar lining over a definite range from the connection part of both pipes, and peeling and removing said peelable film after the completion of a water pressure test. CONSTITUTION:A peelable film 4 comprising commodity name ''Melcoat Clear'' which is prepared, for example, by dissolving a vinyl chloride/vinyl acetate copolymer in a solution mixture consisting of ketone type and aromatic hydrocarbons, is formed to the mortar lining on an inner peripheral surface over a predetermined range from the connection part of the insert end surface 1 of a pipe and the step surface 2 of the receiving opening end part of the other pipe. Next, a rubber ring 5 for a test band having a recessed groove 5a is mounted to the outer periphery to perform a water pressure test and, after the test was finished, the peelable film 4 is peeled and removed from the surface of the mortar lining 3. By this method, the penetration of test water through the morta lining 3 is prevented and the quality of the water resistance of a joint part can be inspected accurately. |
