This invention concerns an apparatus for lifting a cover out of a frame fixed in a street, or other countersunk frame, where the apparatus is of the type which includes a an angle lever (1) with a support component (2) at the corner of the angle, designed to be placed on the frame or on the ground outside it, so that the angle lever's (1) one arm (4) extends largely horizontally over the cover and its other arm (5) extends at an angle upwards and outwards from the lid, whereby the support component (2) forms a fulcrum (3) for the angle lever. The lifting apparatus is fitted with a component (8) with a number of gripping tools (9,10,11) which work with lids of different types; this component (8) is fitted at the free end of the angle lever's (1) first arm (4) and is adjustable so as to bring a chosen gripping tool into position to engage with the cover.<IMAGE> |
