<p>PURPOSE:To improve the yield of products by making a rotary scan on a linear image sensor unit and detecting an edge position, and calculating the shape of the steel plate from the detection signal and angle of rotation and taking a high- precision measurement. CONSTITUTION:A steel plate shape detector 10 is an image sensor camera and has two image sensor units SU, a sensor driving circuit, a slit plate fixed at specific intervals from image pickup surface of the SUs, etc. The SUs have 2,048 photoelectric converting elements in one direction and in series. A rotary encoder is mounted on a rotating shaft and sends out the angle of rotation of the body. Then, a monitoring operator confirms an edge position detecting circuit 41, shape recognizing circuit 42, and shape display device 43 through a monitor ITV camera and then operation starts. The SU when sensing radiant light from the steel output a video signal F corresponding to its intensity. Sampling is performed with the signal F at intervals of an angle of rotation and sampled values are inputted to the circuit 41. The circuit 41 compares them with a correct level to detect the edge position, and measuring operation and displaying operation are performed precisely through the circuit 42, device 43, etc.</p> |
