PURPOSE:To position each color zone in a multi-color ribbon with high accuracy by positioning a carrier and a ribbon support base by a detent mechanism constituted by an engagement section and a section to be engaged. CONSTITUTION:An engagement section 20 formed by bending a leaf spring material at an approximately right angle is mounted at an end section on the platen 1 side of a carrier 5, the end section of one piece of the engagement section 20 is fixed to the carrier 5 by a screw, and the position of the height of the engagement section 20 is finely adjusted by the revolution of a screw member 23. On the other hand, a vertically long-sized section to be engaged 24 is fitted to the front, a rotary end section, of a cassette support base 6, and constitutes a detent mechanism together with the engagement section 20. The section to be engaged 24 has four engaging holes 24a, 24b, 24c, 24d corresponding to a fitting section 22, and color zones in a multi-color ribbon are positioned in front of a printing head 4 under an elastically fitted state. The cassette support base 6 is turned vertically by a stepping motor 15, thus changing over printing colors. |
