摘要 PURPOSE:To measure always, precisely, and continuously the thickness of a refractory by constituting the device of a sonde with a thermometer embedded at the leading end and a means for inserting the sonde into an insertion hole which is perforated horizontally through a blast furnace wall toward the center of the furnace. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder 13 is operated to move a rod 14 forward, and a connector 7 is moved horizontally on a rail 11 from the middle right to the left. Consequently, the leading end of a sonde 2 passes through an insertion hole 4 which is perforated through a blast furnace wall 3 toward the center of the furnace, and reaches the inside of the furnace. The temp. change in the course is measured by a thermometer which is embedded at the leading end of the sonde 2, and the thickness of a refractory 1 is measured on the basis of said temp. data and the moving distance of the sonde 2.
