PURPOSE:To ensure the water-tightness of a hood-type sun-roof and to make it possible to operate the sun-roof with an extremely small opening and closing resistance, by providing such an arrangement that a slider operates at its frontmost end position an elevating mechanism to moved up and down the front end part of a guide rail. CONSTITUTION:A front cover 16 to which the front end of a flexible hood 15 for opening and closing an opening 3 is attached, is attached to a slider 17 having a guide shoe 20 that is slidably guide by a guide rail. An elevating mechanism 51A is composed of a link 52 having one end pivotablt coupled to the guide rail, a guide plate 53 for rectilinearly moving the other end of the link 52 and a spring 54. Further, when the slider 17 actuates at its frontmost end position the elevating mechanism 51 to allow the front part of the guide rail 11 to move up and down, the front cover 16 abuts against a front roof 2a such that it is pressed downward upon closing of the opening 3 while the side parts of the hood 15 abuts against the side roods 2c, thereby the water-tightness of the sun-roof may be satisfactorily ensured. |
