PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for agitation through manual operation, to flow out ink smoothly from an ink outflow clearance between the circumferential surface of a fountain roller and the nose of an ink blade, and to improve the quality of a print by burying a small-diameter roller approximately running parallel with the fountain roller in ink in the vicinity of the clearance under a floated state. CONSTITUTION:Since a fountain roller 8 is turned in the direction of the arrow A in a section having a small clearance (t), ink 13 in the vicinity of the clearance (t) free-runs in the direction of the arrow B. Accordingly, a small-diameter roller 21 also follows ink 13 and is rotated in the direction of the arrow B, ink 13 between the circumferential surface of the fountain roller 8 and the small-diameter roller 21 is pushed away in the direction of the clearance (t), thus resulting in no repetition of revolution in the direction of the arrow B at the same position. When the small-diameter roller 21 turned, ink 13 moves to a central section from both ends by the action of thread grooves 21a, 21b and is agitated. When an ink agitator is operated under the state in which there is no ink 13, the small-diameter roller 21 is supported by an arcuated section 10a at the nose of an ink blade 10, thus resulting in no contact with the circumferential surface of the fountain roller 8, then preventing the damage of the circumferential surface of the fountain roller 8. |
