PURPOSE:To expand a polyolefin resin sufficiently, by adding a styrene/vinyl acetate block copolymer resin in the production of an electroconductive plastic foam by adding carbon black to a polyolefin resin and expansion-molding the mixture. CONSTITUTION:A mixture is obtained by mixing 50-85pts.wt. polyolefin resin selected from among polyethylene, polypropylene, polybutene-1, ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer and a mixture thereof with 10-30pts.wt. carbon black and 5-40pts.wt. styrene/vinyl acetate block copolymer resin. If desired, this mixture is further mixed with a blowing agent (e.g., butane or flon), and the resulting mixture is expansion-molded to obtain the purpose electroconductive plastic foam. In this way, it is possible to expand the polyolefin resin sufficiently in spite of incorporation of carbon black and to keep a desired expansion ratio. |
