PURPOSE:A water-in-oil type emulsified composition, containing a polyglycerol ester of a fatty acid, polyhydric alcohol and water-soluble high polymer, capable of keeping the moisture on the skin surface, and having improved water holding function of giving always moisture to the skin with a high internal aqueous phase content. CONSTITUTION:An emulsified composition containing (A) glycerol ester of a fatty acid having 3-7HLB, preferably diglyceryl monooleate, (B) a polyhydric alcohol, e.g. glycerol, or disacchride sugar alcohol, e.g. maltitol, having >=3 hydroxyl groups in the molecule, (C) a water-soluble high polymer, having a high viscosity when dissolved in water, having improved water holding ability and further film-forming ability, e.g. sodium alginate, (D) oil, preferably liquid fat, preferably liquid paraffin or soybean oil, and (D) water. The amounts of the respective components are as follows: 1-5wt% component (A), 5-20wt% component (B), 0.1-2wt% component (C), 2-20wt% component (D) and <=30wt% total thereof. |
