<p>The tube plate has holes for the tubes, as in the case of a heat exchanger tube nest, and each hole has a spigot (21). A moulded rubber joint (11) fits over the tube plate and has a collar (24) which locate in the holes of the tube plate. The upper position of the opening in the rubber joint is extended in the form of a fillet (37) to form a leaf seal on the tube (28). When the tube is inserted and expanded into the hole, the joint is compressed against the plate spigot (21).</p> |
