PREPARATION:For example, ellipticin shown by the formula III, 9-hydroxyellipticin, or 9-methoxyellipticin is reacted with an aldose derivative shown by the formula R<3>-Y (R<3> is lower acylated aldose residue where number of carbon atoms of alkyl group is 1-2, or benzoylaldose residue; Y is halogen) in an organic solvent under heating, or reacted in the presence of a weak base, to give a compound shown by the formula IV.
