An enveloped electric component which is built into a prismatic envelope, using an electrically insalating moulding compound, which envelope is made of an electrically insulating material, is open on at least one side, and has contact faces at the ends of its boundary surfaces, which contact faces are conductively connected to the contacts of the component, characterized in that each contact face forms part of a strip of conductive material which extends from the boundary surface along the outside of the envelope and which is then folded inwards, the component being electrically conductively secured on the inside between the parts. |
