Device allowing vertical and oblique take-off by an aircraft. It comprises a rotor equipped with blades 1 having lenticular cross-section capable of taking up a positive or negative incidence: - a peripheral reservoir in the shape of a flattened revolution torus 2; - a hollow shaft 3 equipped with bearings 4 allows the link with the aircraft; - the axes of the blades 5 allowing the rotation of the latter are controlled by a rod 7 which transmits the movement to the inside of the aircraft. The principle of the system consists in storing sufficient kinetic energy to permit the support of the aircraft during the few seconds necessary to obtain a horizontal speed, the moment from which it behaves like an aircraft. The invention can be used for taking off and landing of light aircraft. In the course of research, it appeared that it could also be of interest to the military.
