The present invention relates to a foldable beach mattress. This mattress 10, preferably consisting of a towel 12 of terry-towelling type, is essentially characterised in that it is combined with a storage bag 11 to which it is fastened via one of its edges. It also comprises a pocket 14 intended to contain a cushion which may be inflatable. The bag comprises inner storage pockets 15 and a cover 16 intended to cover the towel 12, the pocket 14 and its cushion when they are folded up and stored inside the bag 11. The beach towel/storage bag combination is particularly advantageous for travel and trips. <IMAGE>
