PURPOSE:To reduce losses of a material and to miniaturize the body a clip, by forming the outline of an elastic locking piece on the lower arm of the main body of a clip having upper and lower arms and a curved part connecting the two arms and making the notched part of blanking work small. CONSTITUTION:The main body of a U-shaped clip having an upper arm 2, a lower arm 3 and a curved part 4 that connects ends of arms 2, 3 are formed from a thin elastic metallic plate. A female screw hole 6 is formed in a body with the arm 2, and the arm 3 is sheared to form the outline of an elastic locking piece 9. The part corresponding to an opening 8 is embossed to form a gap between the shearing edge 10 left in the arm 3 side. Then, blanking is performed for parts including the embossed part 15 to form an opening 8 into which a male screw is to be inserted. An end of the locking piece 9 is connected near the free end of the arm 3 allowing bending, and another end extends obliquely to the curved part 4. |
