PURPOSE:To extremely easily manufacture the heating unit and to secure safety against the rupture of the heat pipe by heating portions of heat pipe other than those whose fins are wound, dissolving soft wax by utilizing the heat transfer and soaking characteristic of the heat pipe, and brazing fins to the heat pipe. CONSTITUTION:A band-shaped soft wax (solder) 2 is turned around one end of a heat pipe 1 in which an electric heat medium is sealed in a hermetically closed tubular vessel, and corrugated band-plate fins 3 are turned in a spiral form longitudinally of the band plate having a relatively narrow width when the lower side of the heat pipe 1 is heated, said heat pipe 1 starts the operation as a heat pipe and its temperature is increased while holding the substantially equal temperature across the full length thereof, and reaches the melting point of the soft wax 2. When all the soft wax 2 is dissolved, the temperature of said heat pipe 1 begins to rise again. Hence, when the power source of the heater 4 is turned OFF at this time point, the temperatures of said heat pipe 1 and the soft wax are immediately lowered, and said soft wax 2 solidifies. Thus, the brazing operation is completed. The brazing is not limited to the turning of a brazing material of a band shape around the entire part of the fins. |
