PURPOSE:To prevent effectively scattering of a toner and to suppress pollution and image disturbance due to the scattering by equalizing polarities of an introduction-side magnetic pole of a carrier removing magnet, which is provided in facing a crest cutting mechanism under a developing area, and a magnetic pole close to the crest cutting mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A magnet 4 having plural magnetic poles and a sleeve 5 rotated clockwise on the outside of the magnet 4 are provided to face a photosensitive body 1 rotated clockwise. Since a photosensitive layer introduction-side magnetic pole 24 of a carrier removing magnet member 23 and a crest cutting part magnetic pole 18 have the same polarity, sudden expansion and rise to a crest-cut magnetic brush are suppressed by influences of a repulsive magnetic field formed near the crest cutting part and lines of magnetic force between the magnetic pole 18 and a main pole 15 for development. Since the magnetic pole 24 and the main pole 15 have opposite polarities, a magnetic field along a photosensitive layer 2 is formed between them, and movement of carrier particles transferred to the side of the layer 2 is suppressed. Thus, toner scattering is prevented effectively to suppress image disturbance. |
