PURPOSE:To simplify structure by supporting a wedge piece which is shiftable in the nearly perpendicular direction to the axis line of a brake-applied revolution body, guided by a pressing member connected to a supporting shaft, by a supporting member whose one edge is joined onto the supporting shaft through an elastic member. CONSTITUTION:One of a pair of brake plates 6 is opposed to a brake surface 1b and one edge surface of a friction plate 22, and the other is opposed to the outer edge surface of the friction plate 22 and one edge surface of a pressing member 7. A wedge piece 23 in tapered form for increasing the thickness in the perpendicular direction to the shift direction is freely inserted into the wedge-shaped groove 7c formed onto the pressing member 7. A pair of bolts are screwed onto one side of a pair of penetrating female screws on a joint member 27, and one edge side of the supporting part 28 of a supporting member 30 is connected to the joint member 27 by the bolts 29. One edge side of said supporting member 30 is joined onto a supporting shaft 16 by a prescribed springy force through an elastic body. |
