The invention relates to microwave radiators and antennas using such radiators. The main subject of the invention is a microwave radiator able to transmit in at least two frequency bands. For this purpose, at least two elementary radiators have been nested inside one another whilst satisfying the requirement for mechanical and electromagnetic compatibility of both these radiators. The subject of the invention is also radar antennas using such radiators. A particularly interesting application of the invention consists of a dual frequency radar. The use of the low band enables a large range to be obtained, whereas the use of the high band increases the discriminating power of the radar. Another particularly interesting application of the invention consists in adjoining a channel for illuminating missiles or targets for example on a radar.
