The manufacture of articles obtained from a molten material, and especially glass. In order that all the articles obtained successively may be quite identical with each other, the quantity of molten material introduced into a forming mould must be strictly calibrated. In accordance with the invention a mechanism for weighing 15, 16 each article after forming is added to the usual measuring and calibrating means 2, 3, 4, and additional information is deduced, which is used by the calibrating mechanism. Downstream information is thus obtained which is fed back to the upstream members in order to detect, with a minimum delay, a tendency for the weight to change. <IMAGE>
