PURPOSE:To develop a slide contact material high in a softening temp. and excellent in welding resistance, by adding at least one of W, V and Ta or, further, a ferrous metal to a Au-Ag-Cu type slide contact material grade alloy having a specific composition. CONSTITUTION:As a slide contact material, especially, a brush contact material, an alloy prepared by adding 0.5-10wt% of at least one of W, V and Ta or, further, 0.01-0.5wt% of a ferrous metal such as Fe, Ni or Co to an alloy having a composition consisting of 6.5-63.5wt% Au, 28-30wt% Ag and 7.5-9.5wt% Cu without changing the compositional ratio thereof. By this method, a brush contact material high in a softening temp. and excellent in welding resistance is obtained. |
