PURPOSE:To develop a slide contact material excellent in anti-wear property, by adding at least one of Nb, In, Ba and Cd or, further, a ferrous metal to a Au- Ag-Cu type slide contact material grade alloy having a specific composition. CONSTITUTION:As a slide contact material, especially, a brush contact material, an alloy prepared by adding 0.5-15wt% of at least one of Nb, In, Ba and Cd or, further, 0.01-5wt% of a ferrous metal such as Fe, Ni or Co to an alloy consisting of 61.5-63.5wt% Au, 28-30wt% Ag and 7.5-9.5wt% Cu without changing the compositional ratio thereof is used. By this method, a brush contact material excellent in anti-wear property and reduced in the generation amount of an abraded powder is obtained. |
