PURPOSE:To prevent the automatic constant-speed travel control from being executed unwillingly due to an erroneous action of a computer by inhibiting the execution of the automatic constant-speed travel when the shift lever of a speed changer is located at the second group indicating shift positions other than ''advance''. CONSTITUTION:When an ignition switch 9 is on and a shift switch 12 is at either one of ''L'', ''2'', ''D'' positions of the first group, the detected signal S1 of the first detection circuit 13 becomes an H level, the transistor Tr153 of a switching drive circuit 15 is turned on, and Tr154 is also turned on. Accordingly, a relief switch 11 is turned on, and the constant-speed travel control can be perfomed via a control circuit 5. On the other hand, when the shift switch 12 is located at eigher one of ''N'', ''R'', ''P'' positions of the second group, the detected signal S2 of the second detection circuit 4 becomes an H level, a capacitor 151 is charged, Tr154 is turned off, the relief switch 11 is turned off, and the control circuit 5 is made inoperative. |
