PURPOSE:To prevent burn of a painted coated film on the rear surface of a structure in the stage of welding a member on the front surface of the structure having the painted rear surface by welding a doubling piece to the front surface apart therefrom then painting the rear surface and further welding a part on the doubling piece. CONSTITUTION:A double piece 3 is welded 5 on the front surface of a structure 1 apart at a space 2 therefrom. The rear surface is subjected to necessary painting to form a paint coated film 7 and thereafter a member 4 such as intended fittings or the like is welded 6 on the front surface of the pipe 3. The burn of the film 7 on the rear surface by welding heat in the stage of welding the fittings 4, etc. is prevented by the presence of the space 2. |
