<p>NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I (formula II is 4-5C cyclic amino which may have a hetero atom other than N). EXAMPLE:4-(Pyrrolidinomethyl)-1,3-dioxolan-2-one. USE:A solvent, having high dielectric constant, and expected much as reaction solvents, dispersion solvents, organic semiconductors or medium in electric conductors, semiconducting fluid medium, medium for electrically conductive greases, medium for display elements and ink medium, particularly special ink medium for high-speed recording ink jet, etc. PREPARATION:Glycidol expressed by formula III is reacted with a cyclic secondary amine expressed by formula IV to give a 3-(cyclic amino)-1,2-propanediol expressed by formula V, which is as a raw material refluxed with diethyl carbonate expressed by formula VI in excess of the stoichiometric amount in the presence of a catalyst, e.g. anhydrous K2CO3, under stirring and heating to remove ethanol and distil away the formed ethanol to the outside of the system and give the aimed compound expressed by formula I in >=90% yield.</p> |
