PURPOSE:To cope with plural picture input devices at different scanning speeds by varying selectively a sub scanning speed and varying selectively a timing clock period of main scanning. CONSTITUTION:A laser beam from a laser oscillator 1 applies main scanning to a photosensitive body from a point A to a point B via a polygon mirror 2 and an f.Q lens 3 and the photosensitive body 5 is rotated in a direction of arrow (b) nearly at right angles to the main scanning direction (a). Further, only when an output signal V from a D-FF30 exists, a Video out signal is outputted and the main scanning is applied. In this case, plural speeds being 1/N of the standard speeds are selected, and when N=3, the sub-scanning speed of a picture forming device is 1/3 of the standard speed. On the other hand, the main scanning is applied at every two faces of the polygon mirror 2 for the Video out signal while the timing clock period is switched. |
