After births or other traumas leading to fissures, microfissures and wound edges in the region of the perineum, vagina or other adjoining structures, urination is very painful because of the contact of the urine with the traumatised structures. Wound healing is probably also adversely affected by the urine. A urination tube which is pressed onto the urethral orifice and through which the urine is discharged largely avoids contact of the urine with the wound. Residual drops can be removed with a swab which is inserted through the urination tube after urination. It is also possible to obtain sterile urine in an easy manner using the urination tube if a sterile tube is used and the region around the urethral orifice is disinfected, for example with an alcohol swab, before attachment of the tube. It is conceivable to design the urination tube as a closed tube or a tube with a longitudinal slit. It can also be worthwhile to provide the end pressed onto the urethral orifice with a soft edge. In order to facilitate handling, the tube can also be bent.
