A sales or presentation shelf unit having shelves which are attached to supports and are arranged at vertical intervals which are larger than the smallest or smaller than the largest of the objects to be displayed, in each case two shelves arranged one above the other - seen in plan view - only partially overlap one another, the supports being constructed as central pillars which are preferably provided with a foot and are partially surrounded by the shelves, and the pillars having, at predetermined support heights, attachment cutouts which are each offset in the circumference for the selective angular offset attachment of fastening members for the shelves, in particular according to Patent P 3422693.1, the attachment cutouts being longitudinal slots in the tubular pillars for hooking in bearing arms of the fastening members which project radially from the pillar.
