Method for the identification of calling or called terminals connected by an external transmission bus enabling, upon the implementation or establishment of a connection, the transmission of a data signal flow between the calling terminal and a called terminal. The disadvantages of this type of calling and called terminals is to make impossible their identification once the connection is established. It is therefore proposed to couple the external transmission bus intended to the identification of the calling or called terminal (1) to an auxiliary device (5) during a predetermined time duration DELTA t by means of a coupling device (4). Said auxiliary device (5) enables to send an identification signal ID by the external transmission bus (2).
