PURPOSE:To provide toasted laver powder, having nearly green color, reduced green smell compared with conventional toasted laver, strong flavor and excellent taste. CONSTITUTION:Dried laver (preferably prepared by treating raw laver with an acid solution and drying the treated laver) is heat-treated at about 200-350 deg.C for about 30sec-20min until the laver turns to green color. The treated laver is pulverized to <=0.5mm. diameter with a pulverizer (preferably centrifugal pulverizer) to obtain the objective toasted laver powder. As an alternative method, the heat treatment is carried out after the pulverization treatment. |
