PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of characteristics of a solar cell due to humidity and temperature, by coating the electrode surface of the solar cell with an insulating resin by a printing method. CONSTITUTION:A solar cell is formed from a glass substrate 8, a CdS film 9, a CdTe film 10, a carbon electrode 11, an Ag, In electrode 12 and an Ag electrode 13. Screen printing is effected using an insulating resin 14 of about 20mum thickness in a screen print pattern which covers all the electrode surface except for the electrode terminal lead-out portion. Thereafter, temperature hardening is carried out by means of a drier. Since a printing method is employed, uniform coating can be effected all over the surface of the solar cell element. In addition, a thin film without any air bubble can be formed at a high operating efficiency. |
