PURPOSE:To improve the bottom installation operation performance of an underwater structure and position precision and stabilize installation posture by engaging a propulsion body equipped with a propulsion controller onto an umbilical cable connecting between a mother ship and the underwater structure and lightening the tension acting onto the underwater structure. CONSTITUTION:Though, when a trial boring apparatus, i.e., underwater construction 4 is suspended in the water by an umbilical cable 3 from a mother ship 1, the cable 3 and the construction 4 tend to flow because of tidal current, a propulsion body 6 is brought relatively close to the structure 4 and engaged with the cable 3 and rigged with, and the propulsion force of the propulsion body 6 prevents the flow of the structure 4 by the tidal current, and the structure 4 can be easily installed onto a desired sea-bottom. Though, after the structure 4 is installed onto the sea-bottom, the cable 3 is bent, and the tension generated on the cable 3 acts as the force for flowing the structure 4 in the direction of tidal current and the force in the direction of pulling- up, and the tension can be offset by the propulsion force by advancing the propulsion body 6 in a proper posture angle, and the tension acting onto the structure 4 can be lightened, and the propulsion body 6 can be controlled through the remote control from the mother-ship side. |
