PURPOSE:To decrease number of data packets transmitted and received and to improve the efficiency of data transmission by compressing the data at a packet switching device. CONSTITUTION:A data 9 transmitted from a data terminal device 1 is compressed by a packet switching device 2 and transmitted as a compressed packet data 10. The packet data 10 is received by a packet switching device 7, restored by a restoration device 8 and the restored data 11 is transmitted to a terminal device 4.
