<p>PURPOSE:To reliably prevent the occurrence of the accident that light leaks out due to the undesirable attachment of resin, by forming a groove-like resin reservoir in the main surface of a partition wall which partitions two recesses from each other. CONSTITUTION:First and second recesses 21 and 22 are formed in the main surface of a holder 20 such that the recesses 21 and 22 face in the same direction and are completely separated from each other by a partition wall 23. A resin reservoir 24 is formed in the top, that is, the main surface, of the partition wall 23. The resin reservoir 24 is defined by a groove with a V-shaped cross-section which is formed so as to correspond to the line partitioning the recesses 21 and 22 from each other. Thus, even when the amount of resin for simultaneously sealing the recesses 21 and 22 is controlled so as to be somewhat excessive, the resin excessively applied to the area between the resin sealing layers 27 and 28 is absorbed into the resin reservoir 24. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent the sealing layers 27 and 28 form coupling to each other, which would otherwise allow light to leak out to the light-receiving element side, causing malfunction.</p> |
