The invention relates to a horizontal hydraulic cylinder unit, where two structurally separate cylinder housings, arranged symmetrically to the perpendicular longitudinal centre plane and mounted approximately centrally on parts to be moved along symmetric paths, in particular the top arms of double-arm gripper legs, as well as a common piston/piston-rod component symmetric along the longitudinal axis and having two disc pistons arranged at the ends of the piston rod (fixed relative to their support) and symmetric to the perpendicular longitudinal centre plane are provided. A cylinder unit is thereby created which requires a relatively small free space of movement and in which the mass distribution is as symmetric as possible during the stroke movement. |
