PURPOSE:To attain packet communication with optimum state by selecting a packet length in matching with a transmission line error rate when the rate of a relay line is changing at all times in a data communication network of packet system. CONSTITUTION:A test data is transmitted from a data transmission line error rate measuring device 6 ahead the data communication, a data transmitter 5 at the reception side folds a return data by a folding circuit and the measuring device 6 measures the data error rate. The result is informed automatically by a transmission station 1, and the transmission station 1 decides automatically the packet length used in the data communication with the result of test. |
