Clamping plug and assembly spanner

The invention relates to a clamping plug 1 for closing cooling bores, which is easy to fit and remove again. This clamping plug 1 consists of a screw 2, of a nut 3 screwed on the latter and of an intermediate sealing ring 4 which is pressed against the wall of the cooling bore when the nut 3 is tightened. The shank 7 of the cylindrical screw 2 has an inner hexagon 8. The cylindrical nut 3 has a continuous central bore 10, provided with an internal thread 11, and a slot 12 on its underside. The nut 3 can be tightened by means of a tool inserted into this slot 12, whilst the screw 2 is supported by means of a hexagon introduced into its inner hexagon 8. Furthermore, a specially designed assembly spanner for fitting and removing the clamping plug 1 is proposed. <IMAGE>
