PURPOSE:To obtain compact structure by drawing out recording paper manually, detecting the drawing-out speed by a detecting means, and controlling a printing head with the detection signal outputted by the detecting means. CONSTITUTION:The printer 3 when the recording paper 6 is drawn out manually print data on a one-line basis in the winding direction of the recording paper 6 according to the drawing-out speed and is equipped with a recording paper storage part 3a, a couple of guide rollers 7a and 8a, detection part 9 which de- tects the drawing-out operation of the recording paper 6, and printing part 10. Then, the outer peripheral surface of one guide roller 8a is irradiated with light from a light emitting element 12 and its reflected light is photodetected by a photodetecting element 13 to detect the rotating speed of the guide roller 7a and detects the drawing-out speed of the recording paper 6. Thus, data is printed according to the drawing-out speed of the recording paper. |
