发明名称 COMPOSITE BLANK MATERIAL FOR SPECTACLE FRAME
摘要 PURPOSE:To provide a reduced weight, increased strength and improved brazing characteristic, plating characteristic and workability by providing an intermediate layer if necessary on the outside peripheral surface of an alloy core material formed by dispersing either of B fibers or B fibers coated with SiC at specific volumetric % into a Ti alloy and cladding further an alloy having corrosion resistance on the outside peripheral side thereof. CONSTITUTION:Either of the B fibers or the B fibers coated with SiC are dispersed into the Ti alloy to be used as the core material at 5-40vol% to improve the mechanical strength of the core material and to reduce the weight thereof. An alloy of Cu, Ni, Ag, Au, platinum group or stainless steel having corrosion resistance is clad on the outside peripheral side of the core material. The difficulty of brazing as a result of the high-temp. activity of the Ti component which is the essential component is thereby prevented and the deterioration of the plating characteristic by the secure oxide film coated on the Ti surface is prevented as well. The joint strength between the core material and the sheath metal is further improved if the material consisting of any of Ag, Cu or Ni or the alloy thereof is interposed and joined therebetween as the intermediate layer.
